Why target your audience well?
Targeting is the key to your Instagram automation success. By defining the right targets, you attract a qualified, engaged audience that is genuinely interested in your content.
Step 1 : Access the Targets Page

Go to your account and click on "Targets" in the left menu to access your targeting configuration.
Step 2 : Add Good Targets

Simply add one or more targets by clicking the add button. You need to enter the @ of the target(s) and click on search.
How to find a good target?
Criteria for an optimal target
A good target is an Instagram account that meets the following criteria:
- Audience size: Between 15,000 and 1 million followers
- Similarity to your account: The account must have content and themes similar to yours
- Geographic area: The account's audience must be in the same locations as your target
- Language: The audience must speak the same language as your content
Examples of good targets
If you are:
- •Sports coach in Paris → Target other Parisian sports coaches with 20k-500k followers
- •Eco-responsible fashion brand → Target ethical fashion influencers with a French-speaking audience
- •Restaurant in Lyon → Target Lyon food bloggers and similar restaurant accounts
How many targets to add?
Recommendation: Add between 20 and 90 targets for the best results.
- •Minimum 20 targets: To have a sufficient base of audience to reach
- •Maximum 90 targets: To stay precise and targeted in your approach
The more varied and relevant targets you add, the more effective your automation will be!
Step 3 : Use Smart Targets (after 7 days)

Wait 7 days: Let your account run for at least a week to collect data.
Once this period is over, you can use the Smart Targets feature which will automatically suggest optimized targets based on:
- •Your Instagram profile
- •The targets that work best for you
- •The performance of your current interactions
Smart Targets analyzes your results and recommends the most relevant accounts to target to maximize your growth.
Tips to optimize your targets
- •Diversify your targets: Don't just target direct competitors, think about complementary accounts
- •Analyze engagement: Prioritize accounts with good engagement rates (likes, comments)
- •Test and adjust: Don't hesitate to replace targets that don't work after a few weeks
- •Avoid fake accounts: Verify that targeted accounts have an authentic audience
To avoid:
- •Accounts with purchased followers
- •Inactive accounts (no recent posts)
- •Accounts that are too generic or without a clear theme
